| Documents Required for Entry | In 2025, all travelers entering Serbia must present a valid passport that remains valid for the entire duration of their stay. Depending on your nationality, you may also need a visa or electronic travel authorization to enter the country. For example, citizens from countries like Morocco, India, and many parts of Africa or Asia typically require a tourist visa, while travelers from the EU, UK, USA, Canada, and Australia can enter Serbia visa-free for short stays (usually up to 90 days within a 180-day period). Visitors should be ready to present: -Proof of onward or return travel -Accommodation details -Evidence of sufficient funds for their stay If you plan to stay in Serbia longer than the permitted 90 days, you must apply for a residence permit or visa extension before your initial authorization expires. This process is handled by the Serbian Ministry of Interior(Ministarstvo unutrašnjih poslova – MUP) and requires documentation such as: -Proof of income or financial support -Valid reason for extended stay (e.g., study, work, medical, family reunion) -Health insurance -Proof of accommodation Overstaying your permitted time without proper authorization can result in fines, a ban from re-entry, or deportation. |
